Wind adjustment

Wind & Elevation Adjustment (Direction-Wise Only)

Wind and elevation influence starting line and side movement of the ball.
Exact directional influence is never perfectly predictable because it depends on:
  • Wind strength
  • Wind direction
  • Shot height
  • Ball spin
  • Player’s natural shot shape
Therefore, every player must judge the severity by themselves.
These are average recommendations only.

A. Wind — Direction Effects

1. Left-to-Right Wind

  • Effect: Pushes ball toward the right
  • Direction Tendency:
    • Ball starts slightly right
    • Curves more to the right
  • Recommendation:
    • Aim more left, toward safe side
    • Stronger wind = larger adjustment
    • Player decides exact margin

2. Right-to-Left Wind

  • Effect: Pushes ball toward the left
  • Direction Tendency:
    • Ball starts slightly left
    • Curves more to the left
  • Recommendation:
    • Aim more right, toward safe side
    • Stronger wind = larger adjustment
    • Player judges severity

💡

Simple Summary (Direction Only)

Left-to-right wind → aim left
Right-to-left wind → aim right
Into wind → expect more curve → use more safe-side aim
Downwind → straighter flight → normal aim
