STEP THREE — Lie & Slope Adjustment (Direction-Wise Only)
The lie and slope influence starting direction and side curvature (left/right).
Exact directional change is very difficult to judge and depends on each player, their swing, and confidence.
These are average recommendations —
the player must always make the final adjustment by feel.
A. Slope Influence – Direction Effects
1. Ball Above Feet
- Effect: Clubface points left naturally
- Direction Tendency:
- Ball starts left
- Often curves left
- Recommendation:
- Aim right of the target
- More slope = more adjustment
- Player must judge severity
2. Ball Below Feet
- Effect: Clubface points right
- Direction Tendency:
- Ball starts right
- Often curves right
- Recommendation:
- Aim left of the target
- More slope = more adjustment
- Player judges how much
